The Q. Walter Peabody Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Our status as a 501(c)(3) public charity means that we are exempt from paying federal income tax. North Carolina has also exempted us from paying state income tax (and some other taxes too). Furthermore, as a 501(c)(3) public charity we can confer on our donors a tax deduction for all charitable contributions they make to the Q. Walter Peabody Foundation.
