Jesse D. Caputo


Dr. Caputo is a member of the Family Forest Research Center at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a research center focused on learning about the motivations, objectives, intentions, and challenges associated with the individuals and families that own a plurality of forested acres in the United States. His primary role at the FFRC is to assist in the implementation and analysis of the National Woodland Owner Survey (NWOS), a project of the U.S. Forest Service Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) program. Previously, he held positions with the  SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) and the Environmental and Energy Study Institute, a Washington, D.C. policy think tank focused on the nexus of environment, energy, and climate change.

As Treasurer of the Foundation, Dr. Caputo is responsible for maintaining the Foundation's accounts, receiving and depositing donations, disbursing funds, and making reports to the board regarding the Foundation's financial condition.
